4/6

I think that we’re basing the success of this event on the turnout we get as well as ticket sales. A big part of this event was being able to pay the artists that participated and because we just lost our USG funding that component is severely compromised.

For me, I really want to end the perpetuation of the “starving artist.” Artists are entrepreneurs in my opinion, and it will be really sad to me if we are unable to compensate them for their time and talent. With that being said, we have committed so much time and resources to this event and I’m very impressed with where we’re at at this point in the semester. No Vacancy will be successful even if just one lasting connection is made at the event.
